Well made a slight diversion along our summer trip. Our original plans were to go to Yosemite however, the crowds were a little much as we were unable to locate a RV Park that could accommodate us. So, we switched to plan B and headed to Mill Creek which is located in Northern Cal. Ended up being a awesome plan B as we discovered Lassen National Park right down the road from where we stayed for a week. Up in the pines of No Cal surrounded by hiking trails, rivers, lakes and Lassen National Park. Home of the 4 known volcanoes in the world and Lassen is the only park to have all 4, pretty cool! We had a great time hiking, fishing (although we didn't catch any), exploring the park and enjoying our little paradise RV spot. It was really cool, along one of our hikes we came upon these pine cones that were huge, like 17 to 18 inches long! They were amazing, the largest pine cones we have ever seen! Of course had to keep a few to take home! There was also a 4 star restaurant across the street that had entertainment on Friday and Saturdays. So we had to check it out, we enjoyed a wonderful seafood dinner and enjoyed listening to a local one man band for the night. Good times! Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Only 7 miles of the road going through the park was open, the rest was still being plowed.
Opened the day after we left, the latest opening in history due to the heavy snow fall. |
