Wyoming

First stop Thermopolis, haven't been here since I was a kid with my family. Brought back some good memories, funny how things always look smaller than what they did as a kid lol. Of course, had to go to the hot springs, definitely didn't smell of rotten eggs like I remember... the smell must get lighter over the years too lol. Had a nice relaxing day hanging out at the pools and a nice walk through the park. Enjoyed walking their little main street, unfortunately, we think this is a dying town. Fun to spend a little time in though and bring Jerry to somewhere that I had been as a kid.

Now onto our next stop...

Casper, WY another place we wanted to stop and check out the town/area! Nothing too special however, we did find a pretty cool hiking trail up in the pines, great hike with pretty views! Also, went through the Fort Caspar Museum which, was interesting. It was a reconstructed 1865 military post that was named after a 2nd Lieutenant Caspar Collins, who was killed in the 1865 Battle of the Platte Bridge Station against the Lakota and Cheyenne. The museum featured quite a few exhibits on prehistoric people, Plains Indians, ranching, the energy industry, along with the City of Casper as well. Nice time here, now moving on to the next stop...seeing brother Bobby!

Arrived in Saratoga, WY for a few days to see Jerry's brother Bobby who was there for a wildlife convention. Stayed at a nice RV park that sat right on the Platt river, that was a nice view to wake up to every morning! Enjoyed our time there getting together with Bobby as much as possible, walking the main street shops and taking some nice long walks/hikes to see the sights.

Off to Pinehaven, WY to see my son and our grandbaby!

Spent a couple of days in Pinehaven together before Jerry headed out on his 10 day motorcycle trip with his buddies. While he was gone I savored every minute with our beautiful grandbaby Roxxi who just turned 1 in May and who also just started walking the day before we saw her!! Such a happy little girl she is, so much fun! Also, enjoyed spending lots of time with my son Dylan when he wasn't working, we took a drive to the Big Horns for a day for some mom and son time, hiking and some fishing. The hike was beautiful and came across a small lake for Dylan to try out some fishing, right at the end he caught a pretty nice one! Awesome day it was together! My sister-in-law and niece came to visit us for a week. Had a great time together spoiling Roxxi, taking a day trip to Devil's Tower, shopping, and spending lake time at Keyhole Lake fishing, paddle boating, making fires, and enjoying all being together. Lots of fun times!! Jerry arrived back safely from his motorcycle trip and had a great time! We took Roxxi for a drive to Sheridan for some lunch and browsed their Main street of shops, nice day enjoying the beautiful weather and Opa and Oma time with Roxxi!!  Spent more lake time with the kids even Jerry got the fishing itch after watching Dylan so, he had to give it a try, his luck was good as he caught a fish too! Great times here in Pinehaven with the kids and grandbaby, loved being in this tiny town of about 400 people, right by the lake, pretty country!

I had a great time as usual on my summer bike trip. Left Pine Haven on a two day trip to meet up with my bike buddy's in Ouray, CO. We stayed at the KOA in Ouray which is probably one of the nicest KOA's I have stayed at. Right outside of our cabin is a rushing stream and they serve breakfast and dinner every day and even have a "bar". From there we road to Green River, UT where we all went on a full day white water river rafting trip, what a great time that was. Not only experiencing rapids that just about threw us out of the raft but we also saw some amazing scenery and Big Horn Sheep in the mountains. After resting up that evening we headed to Carson City, NV but made a brief stop in Virginia City, NV home of the Ponderosa Ranch featured in the show Bonanza. Virginia City is a pretty cool old western town. We stayed in Carson City for a couple of days and took a ride around  Lake Tahoe, beautiful lake. We even took in a car show while in Carson City. This is where the boys started heading south for AZ and this is where I headed east back to WY to meet back up with my better half. I road 750 miles my first day, long day.  on a bike, then 390 the 2nd day. No rain the entire trip, great bike ride vacation!!!!

Now off to Rapid City, SD for a few days to see what it's all about!

Had a good time in Rapid City checking out the sights of the town. After Jerry trying his luck at fishing in Pinehaven with Dylan we decided we both wanted to get our own poles and tackle and start fishing more! So...we took a trip to Walmart and got all set up to go fishing! We took a little drive about 15 miles outside of rapid to a lake called "Sheridan Lake" and spent the day fishing and enjoying the sights and peacefulness of the beautiful lake. Great day at the lake and even caught about 8 fish total, not really worth keeping, however catch and release was fun too!

After a couple of days in Rapid City we were ready to go back to Pinehaven for another week to spend some more time with the Dylan and grandbaby!!!

Decided to go tent camp it with the kids for the 4th of July weekend at the lake! Dylan already had a perfect camp spot right by the water. Had a awesome day of fishing, floating in the tubes, grilling some brawts and enjoying a fire. The next day (the 4th) we moved fishing places to try our luck at another spot however, not much luck there so decided to wrap up fishing and move to another spot called "Hitler" which have cliffs that people jump off and they have picnic areas there as well, so we brought out the corn hole game...time to get the competition going with the kidos!! Had a great time, we won but not very easy, they gave us a run for our money lol We watched them jump off the 40 ft "Hitler" cliffs so of course, Jerry was all ready to give it a shot!! I wasn't so excited lol! He wanted me to jump off with him but I let him down... my nerves got the best of me and I didn't go at the same time...but Jerry did awesome and loved it!! Dylan came and held my hand and we jumped together, scariest thing ever for me lol! I am not so coordinated at this type of thing and of course landed all wrong needless to say I was feeling it the next day and have big bruises to show it lol! However, I did it!!
Also, enjoyed Jubilee Days in Moorcroft. Gotta love the small town events!! A fun day of festivities. Started out enjoying a little Jubilee breakfast followed by a parade. Jerry and Dylan competed in a Corn hole Tournament, they made it through the first round and got beat out the 2nd round by the team that won the tournament. They didn't win but they had a great time playing in their first tournament!

It's been a wonderful time here in Wyoming, was lucky enough to spend a whole month with my son and grandbaby! So many great times and great memories! Loved having my sister-in-law and niece come and visit for a few days, always wish they could stay longer. Thanks to the kids for an awesome time!! We will be back again!

I apologize for being out of touch for so long hopefully, will be able to stay on track for the rest of our trip! Hope you all enjoy the pics!

Now on the road to Carson City/Virginia City, NV. Stay tuned...
